Lake Season is Open for Business

Lake season has officially opened in the 9 Lakes Region.  Most of the marina ship stores, restaurants and boat rentals are now open on weekends for business..  

Along with live weekend music at your favorite marinas, the  late spring events and festival season is in full bloom in East Tennessee.  

Get out and play in the 9 Lakes.  Here are some of our favorite events and festivals happening in the region:

• May 20-Tennessee Mountain Laurel Festival– Wartburg- Car show, music, arts, food trucks, and beautiful laurel in bloom.

• May 20: Water Lantern Festival– Knoxville- Floating lanterns, food, music

• May 20-21, May 27-28: TN Pirate Festival– Harriman- Entertainment, vendors, and crafts all staged in period dress.

• May 24-26:   B.A.S.S. Nation Southeast Regional Championship – Dandridge, Douglas Lake

• May 26-29: Off Road N Chill Experience at Windrock- Oliver Springs- 4X4 gathering to ride and chill out at the bonfire.

• May 27- Rockin the Docks– Lenoir City.- Live music, picnicking and fireworks.

• Jun 3: Bike, Boat, Brew and Bark– Knoxville- Pet friendly event to bike, boat, and sip craft beer.

• Jun 3-4: Lenoir City Arts Fair– 180 plus artisans- jewelry, woodworking,

• Jun 9-10: Popcorn Sutton Memorial Jam– Newport- music, craft whiskey tastings, crafts

• Jun 10: Free Fishing Day in Tennessee

• Jun 15-17:  32^nd annual Great Smoky Mountain Trail Ride– Oliver Springs- 300 of miles of trail, prizes, live music.

• Jun 17: Annual Lavender Festival– Oak Ridge- A sensory event of herbs, health, and cooking demonstrations. A top event in the region!

• Jun 23-24: Smoky Mountain Quilters Annual Show and Competition– Knoxville- Quilt displays, judging, and demonstrations.

• June 24: Hops in the Hills- Maryville-  Craft beer, music, and food.
