A Season of Magic- Events to Celebrate the Season
December is a wonderful time to be in the 9 Lakes of East Tennessee. With mostly mild temperatures, but enough chill in the air to put you in the holiday spirit, you will want to be out and about enjoying this season of magic and good cheer.
Dec 14: Merry Tuba Christmas @ Princess Theater, Harriman- FREE
Dec 14: Santa’s Workshop @ Charles Hall Museum, Tellico Plains- 11 am to 2 pm FREE
Dec 14: Christmas in the Park– Norris TN- Warm drinks, live music, family-friendly crafts, a bonfire, and Santa who is planning on making a visit. FREE
Dec. 14: Jingle Bell Run: World’s Fair Park Knoxville 9 a.m. – This holiday run raises money for the Arthritis Foundation.
Dec. 14: Tour de Lights: Mary Costa Plaza – 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m Seasonal bike-ride with a festive atmosphere.
Dec 16-2:Homeplace Holiday Open House @ Bush’s Visitor Center, Dandridge 11 am to 2 pm
Dec 21: Holiday Market @ Jackson Square, Oak Ridge- annual holiday of market of artisan goods for gift shopping.
Dec 21: A 1940’s Christmas Carol @ Historic Rugby-Live performance combining the traditional tale with the charm of 1940 radio storytelling. FREE- donations accepted.
Dec 22: Charles Dickens Brunch @ Dancing Bear Lodge- Townsend- Appalachian inspired menu and live music $$
Dec 31: New Year’s Eve at the Bistro @ Dancing Bear Lodge- Townsend- ring in the new with family and friends.
Dec 31: New Year’s Fireworks and Ball Drop– Gatlinburg- Annual event – FREE
