2025 Hot Rod and Car Shows Revving Up

The spirit of moonshine, roaring engines, and winding roads comes alive on weekends during the spring and summer months. In the 1950s and ’60s, fast cars were essential for hauling illegal moonshine out of the mountains and hollows of East Tennessee to eager customers. The Prohibition era of the 1920s crushed a once-thriving legal industry, and it wasn’t until recently that many counties lifted their “dry” status.

For car enthusiasts, there’s nothing like meeting up with fellow owners to swap stories, polish chrome, or trade parts. Even if you’re just starting out, seeing so many beautifully cared-for vehicles is an experience you won’t forget. Adventure bikers find endless trails to challenge both their skills and their bikes, while rally cars kick up dust on the rugged roads of the Cherokee National Forest.
