The Big Creek Fall ATV Festival is an event that began a few years ago, in October of 2014. Named after Big Creek that runs through the middle of downtown LaFollette, this festival allows for a fun day of ATV (all-terrain vehicle) riding, music, food, arts, crafts, and an amazing firework show. The month of October is the perfect time to enjoy the changing of the seasons by taking an organized ride on the TWRA (Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency) Trails through the Appalachian Mountains. There you can see the changing color of the leaves, the natural waterfalls, the grazing Elk, and the beautiful skyline view of the Appalachian Mountains.
The City of LaFollette offers 3 different organized rides to choose from: the Easy ride, the Medium ride, and the Challenging ride. The Challenging ride lasting from 4-5 hours. All rides cover an amazing amount of mountain terrain. If you want to hit the trails on your own, be sure to grab a map and take a ride up to our neighbors at Ride Royal Blue! They have a large variety of Cabins and Full Service RV Sites.
When your done exploring the Appalachians and are feeling a little hungry, you can ride your ATV into town and eat at one of our downtown restaurants or at one of our many great food vendors. The enticing smell of bbq, hot dogs, popcorn and funnel cakes will guide you back through downtown to the festival. The City of LaFollette had over 60+ vendors that joined us for the festival last year. These vendors bring all kinds of arts and crafts, a variety of different foods, activities for the kids, and much more! Be sure to register to win some of our FREE amazing door prizes!!!!
At the end of the day, the City of LaFollette, along with festival sponsors will present an outstanding music concert that everyone will enjoy, and when the sun starts to set, the City of LaFollette and Pyro Shows puts on a fantastic fireworks show that showers the night sky with a colorful display of sparkling glitter.
