About East TN Crossing National Scenic Byway
A Scenic Byway 83 miles. Hwy 25E runs thru Cherokee Lake area , south to Douglas Lake. The route is known as the Cherokee Warriors’ Path, originally cut by bison and used by Native American tribes to attack each other, trade with each other, and travel from place to place. Enjoy this scenic driving trail by motorcycle or car anytime, but to watch the leaves at pick season try early October for the most vibrant colors.
